Northern Hills Community Church exists to:

• Celebrate God's Presence. To Worship is to love God with all your heart and express your love to God. You were planned for God's pleasure.
  
  John 4:23-24: "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth." (NIV)
  
  Matthew 4:10: "...Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only." (NIV)
  
  Mark 12:30: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (NIV)
  
  
• Join God's Family in Fellowship. Fellowship means you were formed for God's family.
  
  Romans 12:5: "... so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." (NIV)

1 Timothy 3:14,15: "... I am writing these things to you ... so you will know how to live in the family of God. That family is the church of the living God...." (NIV)

• Educate God's People. Discipleship means to help believers grow spiritually. You were created to become like Christ.
  
  2 Corinthians 3:18: "... as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him." (NIV)

2 Timothy 3:16,17: "The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. It is God's way of making us well prepared at every point...." (NIV)

• Demonstrate God's Love. You were shaped for serving God.
  
  John 15:8: "This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." (NIV)

1 Peter 4:10: "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others...."

• Communicate God's Word. Evangelism means you were made for a mission and that is to share the Good News with others.
  
  Matthew 28:19-20: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)
